Hi, I’m Samantha — the heart behind Ruff Pup Canine Academy. My journey into the world of animal behavior started not with dogs, but with horses. I spent years training and working with them, learning the value of patience, communication, and trust — lessons that still shape the way I work with dogs today.
After transitioning into the canine world, I dedicated my career to shelter behavior and training, helping dogs in need overcome fear, frustration, and behavioral challenges to find loving homes. I also served as an Animal Control Officer, giving me a deep understanding of canine behavior in high-stress situations and the importance of education and advocacy in our communities.
These experiences have given me a unique perspective: one that blends compassion with structure, and real-world experience with proven techniques. Today, through Ruff Pup Canine Academy, I’m proud to help families build stronger bonds with their dogs through training that’s personalized, positive, and lasting.
From rescue dogs to rowdy pups, I’m here to support you on the journey — one step, one session, one wag at a time. 🐶💙

Meet Bobby Lindquist — Co-Owner and The Friendly Face Behind Boarding at Ruff Pup Canine Academy 🐾
When your dog stays with us, Bobby is the one making sure they feel safe, loved, and completely at home. As the primary caretaker for all our boarding pups at Ruff Pup Canine Academy, Bobby brings calm energy, consistency, and a whole lot of heart to every dog’s stay.
With a natural way with animals and a deep understanding of what dogs need to feel secure while away from their families, Bobby focuses on creating a low-stress, high-comfort experience. Whether it’s playtime, mealtime, or just a quiet moment to relax, he’s there to ensure every pup is happy and cared for like one of our own.
At Ruff Pup, our goal is to make every stay feel like home — and Bobby plays a huge role in making that happen.
